Battle's Over Remembrance Paul Wesson 1

Everyone worked really hard to help host Remembrance Sunday for the town on Armistice Day. Flower arrangers created some stunning arrangements of poppies, our tower was lit red for the week before, the Concordia choir had a concert the evening before, and the morning of Armistice Day saw a moving church service followed by the town's parade and ceremony at the war memorial. In the evening crowd's gathered for the ‘Battle’s Over’ celebration, starting with impromptu community singing led by Reverend Mary, and followed by poppy petals falling from the church tower whilst, beautiful singing from the choir, the lighting of a beacon being lit and the pealing of bells. (Thanks to Paul Wesson for letting us use some fab photos).
