Newcomers Welcome 

St Helen's Choirs are looking for young singers to join us.

What do you need to join the choir?

To be seven years old or older - (for the main choir, we do also have a junior choir)
To be generally available on Thursday evenings and Sunday morning (about three quarters of the time)
To be willing to sing a wide range of style and types of church music and to respect our ethos and values

What you don't need? 

• a Christian faith
• to be an experienced singer
• to pay anything
• to have learnt an instrument
• to read music
• to be familiar with church
• to live in Ashby de la Zouch

Contact our director of music Andrew Chapman and then come along on any Thursday (except for August) for a taster session. For those under 16 please come for 6:30 p.m. Adult singers are also welcome to join us at 7:15 pm

Our Junior Choir forms each year for the major festivals of Easter, Harvest and Christmas. We also have occasional Dads 'n' Lads events.

Young singers (choristers) are also welcome to join the main choir if they can attend Thursday rehearsals and Sunday morning services on a regular basis. 

All rehearsals and Sunday mornings services are in St Helen's Church, Ashby de la Zouch. Parking is restricted to residents only on parts of Lower Church Street and South Street but is available in the South Street car park.
