Concerts and Appearances 

Choral concerts are frequently put on at St Helen’s, and often present an opportunity to join forces with other choirs and musical performers, such as Ashby Church of England Primary School, or the local Concordia Choir. Due to the widespread appreciation of the choir’s spectacular music at the Advent and Christmas carol services each year, an extra concert, of Christmas music, was added as an experiment in 2013.

During late November and December you might find us carol singing in a variety of venues, which have included a large department store, and a local hostelry during a Sunday lunchtime. 

In the last few years our summer outings and concerts have taken us to Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, North Staffordshire and more locally to Oakthorpe (near Measham). 

Nine Lessons and Carols

Our traditional candlelit Christmas Carol Service is extremely well attended and a very special occasion for the choir too. We present a full range of choral music from the 15th to the 21st Centuries, and traditional and well-loved favourites too.
