Volunteering
There's a volunteer role to suit everyone. During the year, we run a series of talks for adults, take part in Heritage Open Days and run regular heritage craft activities for adults and children. We need event helpers for both adult and children's events, refreshment makers, welcomers in both Church and Heritage Centre and historical researchers to help us to build our knowledge about our wonderful site.
We also welcome regular Tour groups to the Church and Heritage Centre and are always happy to add to our team of tour guides. We try to tailor our tours to the needs of each group and each of our guides has an area of particular interest. If you know a little about the rich history of St. Helen's or would like to learn more with a view to joining our tour guiding team, we'd love to hear from you. Full training can be provided.
Volunteers are crucial to the success of our Heritage Project. We have a number of areas of volunteering for which we still need more volunteers these are:
• Event helpers
• Refreshment makers for our open days
• Welcomers in the Church
• Researchers
• Play assistants for children's activities
Volunteers work within the Heritage Centre, the Church and also from home. For more information on volunteering with us, please email us at sthelensheritage@gmail.com
