Festival of Archaeology 2021
Each year, St Helen's takes part in the Leicestershire & Rutland Festival of Archaeology, which is part of the National Festival. This year, the focus for the Festival, is "Exploring Local Places." The National Festival website can be accessed here.

This July, St Helen's offered a free to access online talk by David Monteith on the ever popular topic of Richard III. Details below:
HISTORY HERITAGE AND FAITH: RICHARD III: THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING
The Very Rev'd Dr David Monteith is Dean of Leicester. He oversaw the re-interment of King Richard III in Leicester Cathedral in 2015. David has been Dean since 2013, previously having served as Canon Chancellor with responsibility for learning and public theology. He now chairs the College of Deans for the Church of England. He grew up in Northern Ireland during the Troubles followed by studies in Durham and Nottingham. He recently took part in Radio 4's 'The Reunion,' talking about the Richard III project.
