Festival of Archaeology 2022 

It was great to see the Festival of Archaeology back up to full strength in Leicestershire and Rutland this year, with lots of events happening around the County during July.

We were delighted to be able to host a workshop for primary school children and two guided tours of the church. 

Both adult and children's events were a great success. The children loved exploring dig boxes in the Heritage Centre and Heritage Centre garden and went away with some 'treasure' as evidence of their amateur archaeological efforts.

We had huge interest in our tours of the church, with people travelling from all parts of the county to learn about its fascinating history. We're now looking forward to the 2023 Festival.
